QuickBooks Business Bookkeeping CleanupThe terms for this site

A free conversation is not an engagement. Work starts in a signed letter.

Who these terms are with.

Services on this site are provided by Steven Palmieri, Dallas, Texas. Using this site means you accept what is on this page. What is and is not done here is set out in full on the disclosures page, and those limits are part of these terms.

Everything published on this site is general information for business owners. Reading it does not make you a client. Tax and reporting rules change and land differently on different facts, so confirm anything that matters for your return before you act on it.

A free call is a conversation.

The time offered on this site creates no engagement, no ongoing duty and no obligation on either side. We will say plainly what we see and what an engagement would involve, including when the honest answer is that you do not need one yet. Work begins only when both of us sign a written engagement letter naming the scope and the fee.

Every engagement is defined in writing before it starts. Fees are quoted for that scope, and anything outside it is quoted separately before it is done. Either of us may end an engagement in writing. You remain responsible for fees earned to that date and your records are returned to you.

The work is only as good as what it is built on. You are responsible for giving us complete and accurate records, for the accuracy of what is in your own systems, and for the decisions you make. We will tell you when a file is still mixing two companies, and we will not build on that mix.

The site itself.

The words, layouts and images on this site belong to the practice that publishes it. You may read, print and quote them with attribution. You may not republish the site or use it to train a product without written permission.

The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and available, and we do not promise it will never be wrong or never be down. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms follow the law of the State of Texas. A dispute is heard in the courts of Dallas County.

A form submission is a request for a reply. It is not an engagement, and it does not reserve a month of work. We may answer with the count, with a gap, or with the news that the job in front of us is a different job. Some requests end there, and that ending is allowed.

The calendar button loads times. Choosing a time is still a conversation, not a signed scope. If you do not attend, nothing is billed from this page, because this page names no fee. A fee exists only in a letter both of us sign before the work starts.

You will not send us a password, a full copy of a bank feed, or a photograph that shows a house number. If you do, we may delete the extra and ask for the count again. The work depends on the legal names, the election or the gap, and whether a year was already filed.

We may refuse a merge. The refusal is not a dispute under these terms. It is the work. Pouring two legal names together, pouring a filed year into an open year, or pouring a class list into a product list to tidy, are merges we will not do even if a note asks for them.

The phone number on the site is the same practice as the form. Leaving a message is the same kind of request as the form. It creates no duty beyond a reply, and it does not make you a client.

If a page on this site is wrong, the correction is made on the page. A figure stays only while the office that printed it still prints it. Quoting a page does not freeze the figure. Check the page again before you rely on a threshold or a due date.

Nothing on these pages is an offer that expires. There is no countdown, no place held in a queue, and no statement that a month of work is held for you because you opened a form. The form is a request for a reply. The reply is a conversation. The letter is the start of work.

Where to go from here.
